Capo 1st fret

[Intro]
G Am7 D

G >> Em Bm7 G7(III) Cadd9 Cm7(III) Gmaj9 G7 >> C
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
C Cm7(III) G >> Em Am7 D7sus D7 Gadd9 Am7 D/F#
In the land that I heard of once in a lullaby
G >> Em Bm7 G7(III) C Cm(III) Gmaj9 G7 >> C
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue
C Cm7(III) G >> Em Am7 D7sus D7/F# G Am7 D7/F#
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true

   G Am7
Someday I'll wish upon a star
                      D7/F# Gmaj9 >> Em Am7 D6 D7sus2
and wake up where the clouds are far behind me
     G F#7
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
                                    Bm Bm/A# Am7 D7/F#
away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me

[Break, then repeat second section]

G >> Em Bm7 G7(III) C Cm(III) Gmaj9 G7 >> C
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue
C Cm7(III) G >> Em Am7 D7sus D7/F# G
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
                              Am7
If happy little bluebirds fly
                          D/F# Cadd9 Ab(IV) G(III)
above the rainbow, why oh why can't I?

Notes:

This is from the CD "The Other Side" by Chuck Brown and
Eva Cassidy (Liaison Records cbd02263). It's the best cover of
"Over the Rainbow" I've ever heard. Her version has a lovely,
melancholy jazz/blues feel, played on a classical guitar with
a legato fingerpicking style.

Roman numerals in parentheses indicated the fret for a barred chord.

The ">>" notation means to "walk" from the first chord to the second:

     G >> Em G7 >> C
e|---3--------0--|---1--------0---|
B|---0--------0--|---0--1--3--1---|
G|---0--------0--|---0--------0---|
D|---0--------2--|---0--------2---|
A|---2--------2--|---2--0--2--3---|
E|---3---2----0--|---3------------|

Unusual chords:

   D7sus Bm/A# Cadd9 D6 D7sus2
e|---3------x------x------7-------5----|
B|---1------3------3------7-------5----|
G|---2------4------0------7-------5----|
D|---0------4------2------0-------0----|
A|---0------1------3------x-------x----|
E|---x------x------x------x-------x----|
